Contributor Agreement
If you write, produce, photograph, or record work for VVM, this agreement covers the basics. Specific assignment terms are written into individual contracts.
Originality & Sourcing
Submitted work must be original, your own, and not previously published unless explicitly disclosed and licensed. Sources are expected to be named whenever possible; off-record use requires editor approval.
Rights Granted
You grant VVM first North American publication rights plus a non-exclusive, perpetual license to archive, republish, syndicate, and translate the work across VVM channels.
Compensation
Rates are agreed in writing per assignment. Standard payment is net-30 from accepted final draft.
Edits & Approval
VVM reserves the right to edit for length, clarity, and house style. Substantive changes are reviewed with the contributor before publication.
Conflicts of Interest
Disclose any personal, financial, or relational interest in the subject. Failure to disclose may result in retraction and end the relationship.
Indemnity
Contributors warrant their submitted work does not infringe third-party rights and indemnify VVM against claims arising from breach of that warranty.
